Enrollment in a pre-Master's program

This page outlines the steps you need to take to enroll in a pre-Master's program.

Most pre-Master's programs take one year to complete. If you do not complete your program in the current academic year and you wish to continue the pre-Master's program in the next academic year (if the corresponding Education and Examination Regulations (EER) permits it), you should follow the procedure for re-enrollment.

Follow the steps below for a new application.

Step 1: Register in Studielink

Go to www.studielink.nl and log in. Choose the option 'Add new enrollment application' at the 'Study programmes' tab and follow the steps. Make sure you select the correct pre-Master's program under the Bachelor's programs (the one that you have been admitted to). If you choose a different pre-Master’s program than the one to which you are/will be admitted, the enrollment process will not proceed properly.

Enrollment in most pre-Master's programs can only take place as of September 1. If you want to start with a pre-Master's program that has a February-intake, you will have to follow the same steps as for the September-intake. However, you will have to apply for the February-intake in Studielink.

Step 2: Submit an application for admission

In addition to your application in Studielink, you may also need to submit an admission request to the Admissions Committee of the relevant School. The procedure for this may differ for each pre-Master's program. Please find the program for which you have applied via this page (under the related Master's program) and navigate to ‘Application and admission’ to see which steps are included in the admission procedure and whether you need to take any actions.

Step 3: Admissions Committee's decision

The Admissions Committee will process your admission request and will send you a letter by email with the outcome and information about the rest of the admission procedure. Your application can be (conditionally) accepted or rejected. Check Studielink to make sure you have registered for the same pre-Master's program to which you have been admitted. If you have registered for the wrong pre-Master's program, you should cancel that application and apply for the correct pre-Master's program in Studielink.

If you have not yet registered for the pre-Master's program in Studielink, do so as soon as possible!

After you have received notice that you have been admitted (possibly conditionally*), you are NOT yet enrolled at the university. So, proceed to 'Step 4'.

* ‘Conditionally admitted' means that you must meet certain conditions before you are finally admitted. For example, you may still need to submit a certified copy of a diploma.

Step 4: Completion of enrollment

Having an application in Studielink does not mean that you are automatically fully enrolled at Tilburg University. See 'Complete your enrollment' for information on what you need to do to finalize your enrollment.
